SEO Title Generator
An SEO title is the title tag Google may show in search results. Aim for about 50–60 characters and put the keyword near the front, so people see the search term before the cut-off.
The tool
Try it here
Use this when you are writing or rewriting a page title, before you publish. Not after Google has already indexed a long, cut-off line.
Why it helps
Why you need a SEO Title Generator
Google does not show unlimited title text. Around 50–60 characters (really pixel width) is what usually fits. The rest gets cut.
The keyword near the front tells the searcher they are in the right place. Brand can sit at the end if it still fits.
An SEO title is not a Google Ads headline. RSA (RSA = Google’s multi-headline search ad) caps at 30 characters. Organic titles have more room. Do not paste one into the other.
When
When to use it
- Before you publish a new page or blog post.
- When Search Console shows a title Google rewrote, often because yours was too long or too vague.
- When two pages share almost the same title and you need to tell them apart.
- When you are aligning the title with the H1 (the main heading on the page) and the primary keyword.
How
How to use it
- 1Type the main keyword the page can actually rank for. Not a wish list of five terms.
- 2Add a short benefit or the page type (guide, tool, pricing, demo).
- 3Keep it around 50–60 characters. Put the keyword first.
- 4Add the brand at the end only if you still have room.
- 5Copy the title into your CMS, then check it in SERP preview and the page analyzer.
Example
Example: title for Acme’s demo page
Acme wants /demo to rank for “product demo.” Campaign google-in-demo-exact-2026q3 already points here. The title has to work in Google search, not only in ads.
You put in
- Keyword
- product demo
- Benefit
- book in 30 minutes
- Brand
- Acme
You get
Product Demo for Teams - Book in 30 Minutes | Acme
That line is about 50 characters. “Product demo” is at the front. Brand is last. A 75-character title that starts with “Acme | Official Site | …” would cut the offer. Check it in SERP preview next.
Result
What this changes for you
Searchers see the promise in the result. You stop hiding the keyword behind the brand name at the end.
Common mistakes
- Putting the brand first on every page. Then every result looks the same and the keyword sits behind the cut.
- Writing a 30-character RSA headline and using it as the SEO title. Organic has more room. Use it.
- Stuffing three keywords. Google may ignore or rewrite the title.
- A title that does not match the H1 or the page. People bounce, and Google learns the page did not keep the promise.
FAQ
SEO Title Generator FAQ
What is an SEO title tag?
The title tag is the HTML title of the page. Google may show it as the blue (or dark-mode) link in search results. Write one unique title per URL.
How long should an SEO title be?
Aim for about 50–60 characters. Google actually cuts by pixel width, so this is a working rule, not a hard cap. Put the important words first.
Should the keyword be at the start of the SEO title?
Yes, when it still reads naturally. Searchers scan the start. Brand can go at the end if it fits.
Is an SEO title the same as a Google Ads headline?
No. SEO titles are about 50–60 characters. Google Ads RSA headlines are 30 characters. Use the SEO title generator for organic and the headline checker for ads.
Will Google use my exact SEO title?
Not always. Google may rewrite a title that is too long, stuffed, or a poor match for the query. A clear 50–60 character title still gives you the best chance.
