CTA Analyzer

A CTA is the next step: a verb plus an object. Book a demo. Get the pricing PDF. It is not Learn more, and it is not a sentence about your brand.

The tool

Use this on buttons, RSA lines, and email links before they ship. If two CTAs compete, pick one primary.

A verb and a next step

CTA check

Why it helps

Why you need a CTA Analyzer

Learn more is a shrug. The person already clicked the ad. Tell them the action.

Length still matters. RSA headlines are 30 characters. Meta headlines are useful at 40. A 12-word CTA will not fit.

The button and the headline should not argue. Headline: 30-minute demo. Button: Subscribe. That is two products.

Match the words in the ad. That is message match, not poetry.

When

When to use it

  • Before you pin a CTA in Google Ads or lock a landing button.
  • When conversion rate fell after a copy change and nobody checked the button.
  • When the page has Book a demo, Start free, and Contact sales in one fold.

How

How to use it

  1. 1Write the action in a verb + object: Book a demo.
  2. 2Check it matches the form or the URL that follows.
  3. 3Count characters if it will live in an ad.
  4. 4Keep one primary CTA above the fold. Secondary links can wait.

Example

Example: button on Acme /demo

Ad and H1 already say 30-minute product demo. google-in-demo-exact-2026q3. The button still says Submit.

You put in

Current CTA
Submit
Offer
30-minute product demo
Where it sits
landing button + RSA headline

You get

Fail: Submit - no object, sounds like a form dump.
Pass: Book a demo (11) - verb + object, fits RSA 30.
Also pass: Book a 30-minute demo (21).

Submit does not tell you what you get. Book a demo does. Use the same line in the ad if it fits 30 characters. Generate more options in the CTA generator if you need variants.

Result

What this changes for you

The click has a job. You stop measuring “engagement” on a button that does not say what happens.

Common mistakes

  • Click here. Here is not an object.
  • A different CTA in the ad and on the page.
  • ALL CAPS on a long phrase. Harder to read, still not clearer.
  • Five primary buttons. Primary means one.

FAQ

CTA Analyzer FAQ

What does a CTA analyzer check?

Whether the call to action has a verb, a next step, and a length that fits the box. It flags vague lines like Learn more.

What makes a CTA analyzer pass a button?

A clear action the page can keep: Book a demo, Get pricing, Start trial. The button label should match what happens next.

Can a CTA analyzer replace a CTA generator?

No. The generator writes options from funnel stage. The analyzer checks a line you already have. Use both.

How short should a CTA analyzer want the line?

Short enough for the placement. RSA 30, Meta headline ~40, landing button a few words. Do not write a sentence on the button.
